I found this profile of Zhang Xin, the 5th richest self-made female billionaire, very interesting, it’s mostly a profile, but also touches on China’s real estate economy.
The 2nd part of the story (in the video below) talks about a potential housing bubble in China, which is also interesting (and frightening to think about the bubble bursting)

Early (and incomplete) economic figures coming out of Europe are not painting an optimistic picture
France might be in recession, which is not good, obviously because recessions are bad but also the number of strong countries in the EU are dwindling, and as it tries to hold together the Eurozone with some very, very unstable economies it needs all the strong economies it can have to keep ahold of the other countries currently dangling over the edge right now. And then this news hurt the European stock markets.
But hey parts of China’s manufacturing seem to be doing swell after some uncertainty.
Oh wait, Apple.
